You could say that an accomplished music producer is the musical embodiment of a Swiss-army knife. Introducing Ciarán O’ Shea, record producer, composer, and mixer based in Berlin, Germany. Ciarán’s impressive skill set is the result of a wealth of experience in such prestigious studios as Sound City L.A., Sunset Sound L.A., & Park Gates Studios, England.
Ciarán’s career began as a founding member and main songwriter of rock group Cyclefly (Universal/Island), who rose to international acclaim in the late nineties.
Moving behind the desk led to Ciaran working with industry big hitters such as Sylvia Massy (Tool, Prince), Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Rodrigo y Gabriela), Bill Appleberry (Stone Temple Pilots, The Fugees), and Sean Beavan (N.I.N., No Doubt, Marylin Manson).
Diversifying his professional palette, Ciarán’s talents introduced him to the world of television, movies, and video game soundtracks where he has worked as a composer and mixer for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, RTÉ, FilmFour, and Square Enix productions.
As a music producer, he has worked in a variety of styles from electronica to pop to rock with artists such as Bush, Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), The Frank and Walters, Sacha Puttnam, Zoax, and Chris Coco.
Ciarán’s outlook is that every artist/band is unique, and he aims to create a comfortable, productive environment that allows every project to reach its fullest potential.
